What makes us different?
Our students wellbeing and happiness is at the top of our priority! We help young people to step out of their comfort zones and become the best versions of themselves in an enjoyable and nurturing way.
Our teachers who deliver the classes are all professionally trained in their respective fields, are fully DBS checked and have experience in leading arts education and working with children.
Ages 18months-7 years
Our high energy imaginative play and introductory youth theatre programme. These classes introduce your little ones to the world of play through storytelling, script and role play.
Ages 8 years +
Our Empower Performers' class focusses on in depth acting techniques and attention to detail, whilst still having fun. Our members learn lots of different skills each week, to not only help them excel in school, but also in everyday life.
School Holiday Workshops
These classes take place during the school holidays for children and families. We run shows in a week, singing, dance, yoga, wellbeing workshops and so much more for those that want to learn new skills or just have fun!
Meet The Founder
Hi, my name is Taja (Tar-jah).
I can't wait for you to join the Empower family!
I am a qualified Theatre Practitioner and professional Actress who graduated from Middlesex University studying BA Theatre Arts. I attended Identity School Of Acting; an Award-Winning part time acting school and a screen acting school (MN Academy).
Over the years I have performed award-winning shows on stage and screen.
Empower Arts was founded in 2022. The company evolved from a previous drama company which ran for 4 years, unfortunately the franchise closed, which began the birth of my independent company Empower Arts.
I was very shy in my early years, but attending drama classes really helped to bring me out of my shell and enable me to achieve the best for myself. I understand how expensive performing art classes can be and how difficult it can be to navigate life having low confidence. So I made sure to provide classes that are affordable & nurturing.
Empower Arts is about giving young people the opportunity to be who they want to be; giving them a platform to express themselves, to collaborate with others, have fun and build confidence. It's not just about becoming the next Hollywood star, but about helping our students to excel and achieve the best for themselves.
I have an Enhanced DBS, Public Liability Insurance, First Aid Trained and Challenging Behaviour Level 2.
